Cx Stainless SteelCox Charles F. Cox Jr. 1931 - 2010 LISBON - Charles F. Cox Jr., 79, of Lisbon, passed away May 21, after a short illness at the Hospice House with his daughter, Sharon, at his side. Charles was born in Farmington on March 3, 1931, the son of the late Charles F. Cox Sr. and Ruth (Bennett) Cox. In 1948, he married Joan E. Philbrick, who passed away on Aug.31. He was employed by Cushman Shoe, Bostonian Shoe and retired from L.L. Bean as a hand-sewer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and many other sports. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his friends at the Twelve Hour Club. Fleur de lisHe is survived by Minnie Wilson, his beloved partner of 10 years; his children, Rose and her husband, William Bowen, of Durham, Sharon and her husband, Roger Morin, of Wholesale Puma Espera Shoes Sabattus, Alan Cox of Minot, Edward Cox of Minot, Daniel Cox and his wife, Amy, of Oxford, John Aradia of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Bosse of Auburn; brothers, Alvin Cox and his wife, Delores, of Kentucky, Kenneth Cox and his wife, Peggy, of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends, April Vanna, Daniel L. Crowell ,and others. Thank-you to the Androscoggin Hospice House and CMMC for their wonderful care and support.
