Chapel was part of life

MADAM, - Thank you for your feature on Baddeley Edge Baptist Chapel, printed in All Our Yesterdays last week.

I have happy memories of the anniversaries we took part in with our pretty dresses and white socks and shoes.

I remember walking around the lanes and also the Saturday night socials we enjoyed when other Sunday schools would come and visit.

We used to walk there every Sunday come hail, rain or snow. It was part of our life.

SUSAN BROMNFIELD (nee Broster) Hanley Baddeley Edge Baptist Chapel, Fowlers Lane, Light Oaks, celebrates 150 years of worship this weekend with a celebratory service at 3.15pm tomorrow. The service will be recorded by BBC Radio Stoke and broadcast on July 18. All welcome.
